Description – الوصف

The Khallet Al-Sa’adeh Eco-Camp was built and is currently owned by Abu Jad and his family in Ajloun, Jordan, a small town with rich heritage and many tourist attractions.  It was constructed in 2011-2012 with the support of the European Union and JEDCO (Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation) to promote eco-tourism in this unique and rural community. The 32,000 sq/m of land cultivated by Abu Jad and his family is located in the middle of nature, surrounded by trees and native wildlife. Olives, fig, grapes, apples, peaches are only some of the fruits you can find and taste in the camp. 200 meters away is the family farm with goats, chickens, cats and dogs, all of which belong to the camp owner. The site comprises of 6 tented bungalows (3/4 persons each), each with a breathtaking view just outside the tents. Toilets, showers, a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, hot plates, oven, microwave…), a dining place, a lounging place, a washing machine, a computer with internet access, and a fitness machine are all available for customer comfort. All meals are local and based on organic food from the farm prepared by the owners. Humos, Fool, Labaneh, Zeit, Za’atar, Mansaf, Maglobeth, Kuftah, Zarb, Maftool, jam, honey, local cheese / butter / eggs, and olives are just some of the local dishes and products you will be able to taste during your stay. Other dishes can be prepared upon request. Given the closeness of the eco-camp to the farm and the family’s ownership of each allows high flexibility and, therefore, high customer service. The eco-camp has already received several travelers from abroad and provides a good opportunity to interact both with typical Jordanian farmers and foreigners from different areas of the world.
